What are the objectives of the Design Engineering placement?

  • 3D model and detail design of a component taking into consideration the selection and application of materials and processes and the integration within the assembly.
  • Evaluate the component against customer and regulatory specifications.
  • Participate in the validation of the component (prototyping, test, DFMEA).
  • Produce drawings for part manufacture.
  • Analyse cost and weight.
  •  Participate in a Design Review.
