Contour helps British Airways fly high for charity

Contour Aerospace Limited, a leading manufacturer of interiors for the World’s major airlines is flying high after taking part in a British Airways Open Day Event to help raise funds for charity.

The weekend Open Day activity attracted over 10,000 visitors and provided a unique opportunity for BA employees and their families to take a look behind the scenes and meet the partners they work with. Visitors were also able to take part in games and competitions, with all proceeds going to charity.

Contour has a long-standing association with British Airways, having worked with the airline to launch the first horizontal lie-flat bed in First Class in 1995 and the first horizontal lie-flat bed in Business Class in 2000. Contour also worked with BA on the refurbishment of their iconic Concorde fleet.

Lynda Edwards, Regional Sales Manager for Contour Aerospace in Europe, said:

“We are proud to have participated in the British Airways Open Day 2011, further strengthening the bond between the two companies and helping British Airways raise funds for their chosen charity partnership with Comic Relief, Flying Start.

“British Airways is, and always has been, a very important customer for Contour and we look forward to continuing to nurture our relationship.”

With their own stand at the Open Day, Contour helped to raise money with fun games and competitions for BA staff and their families throughout the weekend. Contour’s stand also displayed its premium economy and furniture capabilities at the event for all to see and enjoy.
