Contour Aerospace Limited, a leading manufacturer of interiors for the World’s major airlines has announced the opening of a £100,000 state of the art paint facility at its Camberley site.
Opened by Contour’s Joint Managing Director, Paul Strothers, the facility will provide Contour with a ‘Centre of Excellence’ to meet demands within the aerospace industry for an ever-increasing standard of quality paint finishes.
Contour’s Director of Operations - Composites & Furnishings, Derek Godsell, said:
“Contour has a proud tradition of innovation within the aircraft interiors industry; employing the latest technologies and techniques to help us stay ahead of the competition.”
“This investment recognises the great efforts of the Camberley team and the drive Contour has for the highest quality practices in manufacturing.”
The new paint facility boasts a state of the art down-draft booth, where within the same environment the product is sprayed and dried using a pre-programmed bake-cycle sealing the paint surfaces. Recognised as a high-class automotive standard paint process, air is filtered in through the top and out through the bottom to achieve a superior finish.
The company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries in innovation enables Contour to continue to create, fit and finish some of the aircraft Industries “firsts”.
